United Nations is one of the most respected organizations in the world with regard to initiatives that put the life of our planet and people into the first plan. Their work involves issues like climate change, gender equity, end of poverty, violence against women, refugees and immigrants, child violence - to quote some. On December 3, COP24 happened, where leaders from all over the world meet to discuss one of the most important issues of our time: Climate change.
I was invited as a representative of Brazil to address our voice to these leaders and invite public opinion to participate in this meeting virtually with The People’s Seat campaign. Everyone was invited to #TakeYourSeat at that meeting by sharing posts, stories and videos using the hashtag. I went a little further and invited some friends to share their voices too: @diegotovar, @kaubonnett, @luizclas, @mirelleanno, @leocavazzana, @giulianakaori e @cakimura_. The video was not only part of the campaign, but the UN asked for excerpts to be incorporated into Sir's speech. David Attenborough. You can watch it here.
